David Plom, 72, a resident of Novi, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was born on January 27, 1951, in Detroit, MI, to the late Shirley and Gilbert Plom.

David is preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Vickie.

David is survived by his dear siblings, Larry Plom and Karen Anleitner, and will be fondly remembered as an uncle by Ryan and Erin. He was the cherished "father" of Christopher Gagnon (Jennifer) and held a special place as "grandfather" in the hearts of MiDori, Noah, Cooper, Gage, and Gracelynn.

An avid Tigers fan and dedicated bowler, David spent over two decades at Perfect Game Bowling Center, where his passion for the sport shown brightly. He found joy in playing the lottery regularly and had previously worked as a crane operator at a Federal Pipe and Steel before retiring. David proudly graduated from Redford High School and adored his feline companion, Katie.

Though not always outwardly expressed, David was a loving grandpa who deeply cared for his family. His presence and warmth will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Plom family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, 3-7pm at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held Monday, January 8 at 11am.

David will be laid to rest next to his wife Vickie at Glen Eden Memorial Park immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either Muscular Dystrophy Association or Multiple Sclerosis Association of America in honor of David's memory.
