David Lawrence Lacina, age 48, of Farmington Hills, passed away April 10, 2023.

David was born in Illinois, the son of the late Charles "Dennis" and Dierdre Lacina.

He was young at heart and passionate about the power of pop culture to entertain and bring meaning. Throughout his life he dug deep into the themes of films, books, video games and more (especially those connected to the Marvel Universe and Star Wars). He enjoyed sharing and debating his detailed takes as much as the works themselves.

David's friends knew him to be caring and a ready listener. In recent years, he overcame many physical challenges and was an inspiration to many.

David is survived by his sister, Linda (David Rozzi) Lacina; and significant other, Sherri Wilson.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Dennis" and Dierdre Lacina.

The Lacina family will receive guests Monday, April 17, 3-8 pm, with a 7 pm Rosary, at the funeral home.

A funeral service for David will be Tuesday, April 18, 11 am, at the funeral home followed by a funeral procession to his final resting place, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
