David Alan
Fischer
Jun 6, 1956 — Feb 5, 2025
Redford
David Alan Fischer was a man of grit, adventure, and an unbreakable love for the great outdoors. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Benno and Evelyn (Young) Fischer, he grew up with a passion for fishing, hunting, and anything with an engine.
David spent his career working in production in the automotive industry, where he took pride in his hard work and craftsmanship. But his true calling was the open road and the wilderness. Whether on two wheels or four, he found his peace in the roar of an engine and the quiet of a forest at sunrise. His Joker bike, a 68 Bronco, and a 63 Falcon were among his most prized possessions, each carrying stories of backroad rides and long, winding journeys.
Hale, Michigan, was his sanctuary. He built his own cabin there, a place where the best memories were made hunting in the crisp fall air, and tearing through the woods on four-wheelers with the girls. Before the cabin, there was the Glennie trailer, where he spent countless weekends chasing the next big catch or perfecting the art of campfire storytelling. He also cherished the time walleye fishing with the family on the Detroit River.
David's love for fishing started young, sometimes leading to trouble when he would sneak off just to drop a line. He was as tough as they come, never letting anything slow him down not even losing an eye in a fishing accident. He kept going, kept casting, kept chasing adventure.
He was a man who lived by his own rules, with calloused hands, a sharp sense of humor, and a heart that belonged to the wild. David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew what it meant to live life full throttle, under an open sky.
David is survived by his loving daughters, Tanya Jones (Zach) and Melissa Soto (Chris); beloved grandchildren Christian, Seth, Gabriel, Troy and Dominick; brother, Benno R. (Joy) Fisher.
David was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Fischer and Johnny Fischer.
