David M. Drebes, of Farmington Hills, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed into eternal life on Thursday afternoon, August 31, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was 79 years old.

David was born October 8, 1942, in Detroit, to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Drebes. He married Linda (Androff) on September 6, 1968, in Southfield, MI.

David was known for being a kind and generous person, and a wonderful family man. He enjoyed life, people, and having fun. He was happiest being with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. His bright blue eyes and handsome smile will be truly missed.

David will be forever loved by his wife of 53 years, Linda; daughter, Dana (Christopher) Ulrich; son, David Drebes; siblings, Laura (Dennis) Smith and Charles (Karen) Drebes; and grandchildren, Lauren, Bryan, Jason and Brandon.

Those who wish to further honor David's life are invited to contribute in his name to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society .

The Drebes family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday morning, October 15th, from 9:30 - 11:30 am.

A memorial ceremony will conclude the visiting hours at 11:30 am.  Pastor Chris Cramer, Orchard Grove Community Church, Walled Lake, will preside.

A luncheon will follow the memorial service at a venue announced upon the conclusion of the memorial.
