Dave, of Livonia, entered eternal life on Tuesday, February 11, at Angela Hospice, Livonia.  He was 85 years old.

Dave grew up downriver in Lincoln Park and later Trenton, and graduated from Trenton High School.  His education continued at the University of Michigan Dearborn campus in their Engineering program, and then at Michigan in Ann Arbor where he earned an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering.  Dave began and ended his career at Ford Motor Company, first in Car Engineering, then moving to Light Truck Engineering Supervisor until retirement in the year 2000.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lila; devoted sons, Daniel (Jennie) and Daryl (Michelle); and cherished grandchildren, Zoë, Berkeley, Jordan and Eyobi.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin (the late Ingrid).

Family and friends may gather at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home on Saturday, March 15th, from 10:30 am until the 11:30 am memorial ceremony.

In lieu of customary remembrances, those who wish to further honor Dave's life are invited to consider a contribution to Samaritan's Purse to benefit the victims of the North Carolina hurricane or the American Red Cross to benefit the victims of the Los Angeles fires.
