Cynthia Jane Koonce Myles, age 63, passed away on August 3, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1963.

Cynthia, affectionately known as "Cis", was a very outgoing and caring person who could make friends wherever she went. She loved being around family and friends and enjoyed making people feel welcome. She loved planning parties, traveling, and spending time relaxing on the beach.

Cynthia was also creative and enjoyed making jewelry. What began as a hobby eventually became a small business, where she sold her handmade jewelry along with clothing. She also enjoyed taking on projects around her home. Although she may not have considered herself an expert at home improvement, that never stopped her from trying. She painted her home with her own unique designs and even took on remodeling her kitchen.

A devoted Detroit Tigers fan, Cynthia loved attending games over the years, especially Opening Day. She attended many Opening Day games and always enjoyed the excitement and tradition of being there.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Matthew (Jessica) Myles; and her grandchildren, Greyson, Kohen, and Maeve. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Betty "Granny" Koonce, and her brothers, Mike and Craig Koonce.

Cynthia will be remembered for her outgoing personality, creativity, love of family and friends, and the many people she met along the way who became friends because of her warm and caring nature.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, August 23, from 2 - 6 pm, at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home.
