Concetta, of Livonia, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed into eternal life at her home, surrounded by those she loved, on Monday afternoon, October 17, 2022.  She was 86 years old.

Concetta was born December 8, 1935 in Cassino, Italy to the late Pietro and Angelantonia Roccia.  Married February 1956 to Emilio Russo she remained in Italy until 1958 when she was able to immigrate to Detroit Michigan and join her husband.  Talented at many things, Concetta was best known as a wonderful baker and cook.  No one could resist a taste of her puff pastry lemon cannoli nor her homemade ravioli's.  She mastered sewing and became a furrier with a sub specialty in free hand monograms.  Her work career took her to the finest shops in the metro Detroit area including Dittrich Furs, Chudick's of Birmingham and Neiman Marcus.

Surviving are two devoted daughters, Rosa (the late Fred) Powers and Anna (John) Agge; two sisters, Vitulia Fera of Warrawong, Australia, and Rosina Roccia of Cassino, Italy; her brother-in-law, Frank Russo of Northville, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Concetta was preceded in death by her brother, Edoardo Roccia.

The Russo family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday, October 21, from 2-8 pm, with a 6:30 pm rosary.

Concetta's funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday morning, October 22, at 10:00 am (in state 9:30 am) at St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook Road, Livonia.

Entombment in the Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Southfield, will follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes are suggested to St. Priscilla Catholic Church to benefit their handicap entrance or the Wounded Warrior Project.
