Colleen, of Livonia, a devoted wife, cousin, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, elegance, and a love for life that touched all who knew her.  She was 70 years old.

Born in Detroit on August 21, 1954, Colleen graduated from Livonia Franklin High School in 1972, where she forged lifelong friendships and created treasured memories. It was during her senior class trip to the Bahamas that she met the love of her life, Ben. Their serendipitous meeting blossomed into a beautiful 47-year marriage marked by devotion and enduring love.

Colleen was a woman of grace and generosity, known for her big heart and unwavering loyalty. She was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, anytime, always putting others first. Her care extended to all living things, evident in the stunning home garden she lovingly tended, which was a haven of beauty and peace. Flowers were her passion, and her green thumb was unmatched.

A devoted animal lover, Colleen shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Brooke, who brought her endless joy and companionship.

Professionally, Colleen had a fulfilling career as a mortgage banker at Flagstar Bank, retiring in May 2022 after 14 years of dedicated service. She was admired by colleagues and clients alike for her professionalism and kindness.

Colleen's legacy is one of class, compassion, and generosity. She leaves behind her loving husband, Ben, cousins, Gayle Dodde, Caroll Ann Wakeley, and Kathy Hahn, and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
