Clarence Morgan Jr., age 94, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side.

Clarence was born October 29, 1928, in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Clarence Sr. and Josephine (Lantz) Morgan.

Clarence was a design engineer and safety engineer for General Motors. Having both a deep passion for cars and a creative mind, he designed the dual fin taillights on the 1959 Cadillac. Clarence loved all classic cars and owned an impressive array of many different makes and models over the years.

Clarence was known as a strong, smart, and devoted family man. He loved spending time outdoors and enjoying nature with his family. Bonfires, sing-alongs, boating, barbequing, and especially spending summers and weekends at the Gaylord cottage were some of his favorite activities. He absolutely loved celebrating every holiday, birthday, and event with his extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Mary Ann Morgan; beloved children, Stephen (Diana) Morgan, James (Debby) Morgan, Michael Morgan, Katherine Michael, and Daniel Morgan; dear grandchildren, Brad Morgan, Keven Morgan, Rachael (Walt) Talbot, Brittany (Jon) Anderson, Theodore "T.J." (Jenn) Michael, Kim Saffran, Clarence "Caleb" Morgan, Sarah Morgan, Elijah Morgan, and Grace Morgan; and sister-in-law, Beverly Holderith.

Clarence's funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 10, at 11 am (in state at 10:30 am) at St. Gerald Catholic Church at 21300 Farmington Rd., Farmington, MI 48336. Luncheon to follow Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
