Obituary

Cheryl, of Southfield, passed into eternal life at home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.  She was only 69 years old. Cheryl was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose love for her family and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Cheryl was born October 31, 1955, in Detroit, the daughter of the late William and Rita (Kramer) Ardt.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Muns, on August 2, 2021.

Cheryl had an incredible sense of humor and a joyful personality that made her a cherished presence in any room. She was the heart and soul of every gathering, always ready with a laugh, a warm embrace, or a witty remark that could brighten anyone's day. Her creativity knew no bounds; she was a talented cook and often filled her home with the delicious aromas of meals she lovingly prepared. She also had a passion for crocheting, crafting beautiful blankets for her loved ones that will continue to bring warmth and comfort for years to come.

Cheryl's love for nature and her family went hand-in-hand. She cherished spending time outdoors, especially camping and gathering around a bonfire with those she loved. These moments, filled with laughter and stories, were some of her most treasured. She also found peace and fulfillment in her garden, where she tended to her plants with the same care she gave her family, nurturing both with patience and love.

A true fan of both auto racing and Court TV, Cheryl had a knack for keeping up with her favorite shows, engaging in lively conversations about the latest race or legal drama. She was never afraid to share her opinion or offer a friendly discussion, which made her conversations all the more memorable.

Cheryl's heart was forever changed by the passing of her beloved husband, Ron, in 2021. Their bond was deep, and she carried the weight of his loss with a quiet resolve. Though her heart ached, she continued to show love and kindness to all who knew her.

She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts: her daughters, Angela (Steven) Pennywitt and Sara (Pande) Talevski; grandchildren, Brooke (Chris McKiddie) Pennywitt, Devin (Christina Frazee) Pennywitt, Grace (Jake) Cyr, Danica Talevski, and Dominick Talevski; siblings, Mike (Cindy) Ardt, Christine (Jeff) Parker, and Robert Ardt; her dear mother-in-law, Patricia (the late Carl) Muns; sister-in-law, Monica (Kimmy) Muns-Gline; her beloved dog, Choppie, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to Ron, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Ardt, and a brother-in-law, Glenn Muns.  Cheryl's legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will live on through them.
