Charlene Marie Davis, of Walled Lake, passed away peacefully at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital with her loving family by her side on March 26, 2023 at the age of 77.

Char was born March 7, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Gadoua) Mendenhall.

The moment that Char and Al met, they knew it was true love. The two would be married on July 10, 1965, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and would start a beautiful family in Farmington.

Char was known for her kind and giving heart. She loved butterflies, Elvis, gambling (her slot winnings covering Al's losses), but most of all, spending time with her family. She loved cooking for them (especially cheesy potatoes & mini pizzas) and taking their money while playing card games.

Char and Al enjoyed traveling together visiting 47 states. Their favorite state to visit was Utah, where they loved to sight see all the National parks.

Char is survived by her loving husband Al Davis; beloved children, Randy (Kristin) Davis and Sheri (Scott Cox) Davis; dear grandchildren, Abby Davis, Katie Davis, and Cody Cox; brother, Michael Mendenhall; and sister, Pamela Snow. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles E. Mendenhall, David Mendenhall, and Steven Mendenhall; and sister, Linda Mendenhall.

Guests may gather for visitation at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, from 2 – 8pm.

In lieu of customary remembrances, those who wish the further honor Char's memory are invited to contribute to St. Jude's.
