Bruce George Soubel, born October 9, 1940, was the oldest child of George and Anna (Sula) Soubel.  He graduated from Allen Park High School in 1959 and enlisted in the army shortly after, serving in Texas, New Jersey and Germany. He spent many years as a driver and supervisor at United Parcel Service where he met his loving wife of 52 years, Michele (Mickey) Soubel née Dennis.  Bruce suffered from Alzheimer's and Mickey devoted herself to his care.  She passed away just 4 months ago.

Bruce was father to Carol Soubel, Rene (Jing) Soubel, Sandy (Dave) Wright and Stephanie McCoy and stepfather to Larry Vereeke.  Together, they gave Bruce and Mickey grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many memories.  Bruce was a wonderful big brother to Cheryl Soubel, who preceded him in death, Keith (Julie) Soubel and Wendy Soubel (John Arnold).  His brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Barb Dennis, and their family were important to both Mickey and Bruce, providing support in many ways.  Bruce was one of the good guys- a kind, caring son, brother, husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.  He was loved and will be missed by many.

Bruce's family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 30th, from 10 am until the beginning of the 11:30 am funeral service, at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Road, Farmington.

Interment will take place at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.

Memorial tributes are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Angela Hospice .
