Brenda Verbison, age 74, of Commerce Twp, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Brenda was born in Detroit, MI, August 6, 1949, the daughter of the late Roberta and Everett Denny, she was one of 8 children.

Brenda was known to be kind and loving and having a big heart full of love for others.  She loved fishing with Keith, shopping for purses and shoes and collecting glass, antiques and creating wreaths in her spare time.  Brenda had a green thumb when it came to planting around the yard and taking care of indoor plants as well.  She could also be found feeding the wildlife that visited their rural neighborhood.  Brenda always missed her beloved companion, "Buddy", he will always be remembered as her favorite dog.

Brenda is the loving wife of 36 years to Keith; beloved mother of Tammy Sekutowski (James) and the late Leonard "Curly" Cox and Dawn Elizabeth Cox; cherished grandmother of Melissa, Angela, Rachel and Chad; dearest great grandmother of Andrew, Landon, Lincoln and Olivia.

The Verbison family will receive friends Saturday, January 6, 10-1 pm at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held beginning at 1 pm.

Brenda will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Park immediately following the service.

The Verbison family encourages donations to be made in Brenda's name to Boys Town .
