Bonnie J.
Myers
Mar 14, 1943 — Apr 2, 2025
Bonnie, a wonderful sister, aunt, and friend, passed into eternal life at her Novi home on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on March 14, 1943, in Rochester, Michigan, Bonnie lived a full and vibrant life. She graduated from Lakeview High School in Saint Clair Shores and went on to pursue a career that spanned various roles. Bonnie began as a dental hygienist and later worked as a secretary before dedicating more than 30 years to B & E Sales, where she became a cherished colleague.
Bonnie's personality was as bright as her smile — she was known for her silly, spunky nature, and was always the life of the party. Fun-loving, quick-witted, and often the jokester, she spoke with no filter and never shied away from speaking her mind. Her laughter was infectious, and she could always be counted on to bring a smile to those around her.
Bonnie's love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews, was unwavering. She adored them as if they were her own children and was always there with love, support, and encouragement. She also had a deep affection for her dogs, Bambi, a mut-shepherd mix, and Cassie, her Bichon. Bonnie's kindness, generosity, and warm heart touched everyone she met.
For 20 years, Bonnie courageously battled lung cancer with grace and strength. Despite the challenges, she never let it slow her down and lived life on her own terms, always remaining positive, independent, and aware, right to the end. Her final days were spent in the comfort of her own home surrounded by love, and she never once complained.
Bonnie had a passion for travel, with favorite destinations including Ireland, Italy, and the Bahamas, though she was always happiest soaking up the sun wherever she went. Classy and always put together, she loved the simple pleasures of life, including watching the birds in her yard — a peaceful way for her to enjoy the world around her.
Bonnie's legacy is one of joy, laughter, and love. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have experienced her warmth and light.
Rest in peace, Bonnie. Your journey has ended, but your memory will never fade.
Surviving are her devoted sister, Paula Salvatore; her brother, Allan Myers; cherished nephew and nieces, Ryan (Jane) Ruiz, Nicole Goguen and Allissa Salvatore; a great-niece, Julia Goguen, and a great-nephew, Noah Goguen. Also surviving her former partner of 30 years, John Durbin, and her best friend and cohort in crime Donna DiSabatino. She was preceded in death by siblings, Pamela and Craig Myers.
Family and friends may gather at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington, on Thursday, April 10, from 2-5 pm. A funeral ceremony will conclude the visiting hours at 5:00 pm. Father Drew Mabee, Associate Pastor of the Church of the Holy Family, Novi, will preside.
Those who wish to further honor Bonnie's life are invited to contribute in her name to the American Cancer Society .
