Barbara J. Weigum, age 74, of Southfield, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, July 8, 2024.

Barbara was born in Detroit, MI, October 19, 1949.

Barbara married Leslie Weigum in 1977.  She worked for Southfield City Schools for 15 years as a head cook.  Barbara was affectionately known as "Meema" to all of her grandchildren.

Barbara was the loving wife of Les for 47 years; loving mother of Kristopher, Scott, and Andriana Weigum; beloved grandmother of Shawn Lee, Britany, Crissan, Jade, Jordan, Jewel, and Nathan.  Raised by Ben and Helen Hafeli (deceased) and dearest sister of Mark Hafeli, James Hafeli, Mary Hafeli and Bernard Hafeli (deceased).  Barb was preceded in death by sisters, Kathy Sieban and Mary Sieban. Barb was the fondest aunt of Jennifer Hickmott.

The Weigum family will receive friends Thursday, July 18, 2-8 pm at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at Southfield Cemetery.
