Audrey L. Choma, age 89, of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, August 16, 2024. Her passing leaves a profound sense of loss, but her memory will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Audrey was born January 6, 1935, in Detroit, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Ohlrich) Best. She married Michael Choma on June 16, 1956, and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Audrey lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering love for those around her. She was a gifted baker, known for her delicious treats that brought joy to family gatherings and special occasions. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of homemade goods, a true reflection of her warm and giving spirit.
One of Audrey's greatest pleasures was buying gifts for others. Whether it was a small token or a thoughtfully chosen present, her generosity knew no bounds. She delighted in the happiness her gifts brought to her family and friends, always finding joy in the simple act of giving.
Known for her kind heart, Audrey was a gentle and selfless soul who always put others first. Her caring nature and thoughtful ways touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love that will be treasured forever.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (the late Daniel) Dwyer. In addition to her husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy Best, Dorothy Toosonian and Lynn Best.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 3-8 pm, at the funeral home.
A private family graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Memorial tributes are suggested to the Michigan Humane Society .
Though she is no longer with us, Audrey's love and the sweet memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
