Arthur "Bud" Koenig, beloved grandfather of Taylor-Marie Hazel and affectionately known as "UB" to many nieces and nephews, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the age of 91. A man with a sharp sense of humor and a heart full of love for his family, Bud will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his passion for photography, and his unwavering loyalty to Detroit sports.

Together with his beloved wife, Claudia, Bud fulfilled a lifelong dream when they moved "up north" to Benzonia, where they spent many happy years sharing their love for antiques. Bud and Claudia were a team, living their passion and building lasting memories in the community they cherished.

Bud is now joyfully reunited with his soulmate, Claudia Hazel-Koenig, as well as his sister, Lois (Bernie) Ekelman, his brother, Robert (May) Koenig, and his son, Gerald Hazel.

Graveside prayers for Bud, including military funeral honors, are scheduled for Monday, October 21, at 10:00 am, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

Bud's warmth, wit, and love will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy is one of laughter, love, and living life to its fullest. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
