Obituary

Alice M. Hale, age 91, of Novi, passed into eternal life on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

Alice was born on January 16, 1935, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Frank and Lorraine (LeMieux) Riley. Alice married  the love of her life, Ronald Hale, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brighton on November 16, 1957. Together, Alice and Ronald shared 60 beautiful years of marriage, a life built on faith, devotion, family, and love, until Ronald's passing on May 10, 2018.

Alice was a sweet and gentle lady whose patient, caring spirit touched all who knew her. She was devoted to her beloved husband Ronald and was deeply loving and giving to her children and grandchildren. Her family was always at the center of her heart, and she offered them steady gifts of kindness, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Her Catholic faith meant a great deal to her and remained a source of strength, comfort, and guidance throughout her life. Alice gave generously of herself and treasured the blessings of family.

Alice was also a woman of many talents. She was gifted in baking, cooking, and sewing, and she used those talents to make her home warm and welcoming. She had a natural way with words and was especially talented in English and writing. A good poet, Alice expressed herself with grace, thoughtfulness, and creativity.

Patient, adventurous, loving, and kind, Alice leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and gentle goodness. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Alice is the loving mother of Kevin (Margaret) Hale, Craig (Theresa) Hale, Kenneth (Melanie) Hale, Catherine (Michael) King, Kurtis (Margareta) Hale and Carrie (Michael) Carbone; cherished grandmother of Brian (Alexa) Hale, Kristen (Jake) Smith, Lilith (Lex) Kuehn, Alex Hale, Ava Hale, Sarah (Justin) Proctor, Elizabeth Hale, Annemarie Hale and Matthew Carbone; great grandmother of Luna McNaughton;  and fond sister of Gloria (the late John) Shosey.
