Albert J. Dompierre, founder of AJ Dompierre Construction, a respected Farmington business since 1965, passed into eternal life on Wednesday evening, December 21, 2022.  He was 86.

Albert was born August 19, 1936, in Farmington Township, to the late Napolean and Jeannette Dompierre.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, on February 7, 1986, and siblings, Sister Helene Dompierre, O.P., Conrad (the late Nora) Dompierre, and Napolean, Raymond, Robert and Richard Dompierre.

Surviving are his six beloved children, Bob (Colleen), Mike (Rosita), Angie (Pat) O'Connor, Greg, Jeff (Jackie) and Joe (Jen); his sister, Jeannette (John) Mulheisen; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Dompierre family will receive guests at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, from 2-6 pm.

Albert's funeral mass will be celebrated Friday morning, December 30, at 10:00 am (in state 9:30 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Rd., Farmington.

Interment, including military funeral honors, will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
